Maruti Suzuki exploring flex-fuel vehicle manufacture in India

In India, Autocar India reports Maruti Suzuki is exploring the manufacture of flex-fuel vehicles for the domestic market following the push by the government for all OEMs to do so. Already the company manufactures CNG vehicles and is exploring EVs. No date has been set for flex-fuel vehicles however as it requires R&D and the parent company does not include it in its global portfolio. Maruti Suzuki’s CEO has said it shouldn’t be too difficult, however, as it is an internal combustion engine.
