Zambia to start ethanol blending from mid-2022

In Zambia, Tio Zambia reports the government is preparing to implement ethanol blending in 2022 using domestic production to supply the newly created demand. Suryabio Fuels is among the domestic producers set to benefit from the new policy that is set to come about in June. Sugarcane and cassava are the feedstocks used for ethanol production in Zambia. The country has struggled to implement blending despite several false starts with both ethanol and biodiesel production for more than a decade.
