Petrobras to trial its renewable diesel with select customers beginning in January

December 21, 2021 |

In Brazil, Reuters reports that while Petrobras waits for regulatory approval for its new renewable diesel co-processed with soybean oils, it will begin six months of testing the fuel with customers in January. The tests will be with an unnamed bus fleet owner backed by a fuel distributor. The fuel is produced at its Repar refinery, capable of pumping out 114,000 metric tons of renewable diesel per year. Testing for the fuel production system was successfully completed in mid-2020.
