Ethanol production and stocks slip slightly on week

In Washington, Brownfield Ag News reports Energy Information Administration data shows ethanol stocks fell to 20.705 million barrels last week, falling for the first time since early November, on the back of lower ethanol production. Ethanol stocks were 2.464 million barrels higher during the same period last year. Ethanol production fell to 1.051 million barrels a day, down 36,000 barrels compared to the week prior. Crush margins remain overwhelmingly positive despite continued high corn futures prices.
