Colombia to offset potential fuel price increases due to future biodiesel blending

In Colombia, El Nuevo Siglo reports the Minister of Mines and Energy, Diego Mesa, said that consultations regarding biodiesel blending continues, although if the measure is approved it would not have an impact on the consumer.

According to the minister, the price of diesel would be mitigated through the Fuel Price Stabilization Fund. Mesa said that the government has been studying the measure for more than a year. The government is currently undertaking B20 trials.
