Modi Naturals to invest $33.3M in Chhattisgarh ethanol plant

In India, the Free Press Journal reports that Modi Naturals’ biotech arm will invest $33.3 million over the next two years to set up a 210,000 liter per day ethanol plant in Chhattisgarh with a first phase producing 110,000 liters per day already in 2022. Financing for the facility has already been secured as well as the land. The feedstock for the new project was not announced. The company is focused on sustainability-centered food products such as oil pomace oil.
