Uber Boat to run biofuel hybrid vessels on the Thames

In the UK, the Evening Standard newspaper reports Uber Boat, run by Thames Clipper, will add two new hybrid vessels to its London service. Within the central zone, the boats will run on batteries while outside the zone they will run on biofuel that will also charge the batteries. The first of the two vessels, built on the Isle of Wight, will come into service in the autumn while the second will join the fleet in spring 2023.
