MTM to expand marine biofuel use following successful B30 trial

In Singapore, Seatrade Maritime News reports MTM will expand its use of marine biofuels following a successful trial on the MTM Colorado that ran on 30% biofuel to Brazil from the Netherlands. The fuel supplied by Trafigura led to 31.5% well-to-tank, and tank-to-wake emissions reductions for the main engine and 23.1% for the auxiliary engine. More tests are expected to be undertaken by MTM with plans for biofuels to be used where they are available.
