Maharashtra seen producing 1.4B liters of ethanol next season

In India, the Press Trust of India newspaper reports Maharashtra expects to produce 1.4 billion liters of ethanol from 90 facilities in the year beginning October 1. During the 2020/21 season the state produced just over 1 billion liters of ethanol at 78 facilities. So far this year since December 2021, the state has blended 758,800 liters of ethanol but that is expected to increase to 1.16 billion liters before the blending year ends on November 30.
