H2 July ethanol production seen rising nearly 6%

In Brazil, Platts reports analysts expect hydrous ethanol production to have risen more than 6% during the last half of July compared to year prior at 1.45 billion liters while they see anhydrous ethanol production having fallen nearly 5% to 931 million liters. For the year, total ethanol production is seen at just 1.3% higher at 2.38 billion liters. The overall cane crush for the two-week period is estimated at 48.0 million mt to 49.5 million, with an average estimate of 48.6 million, 3.6% higher than in 2021.
