August 9, 2022 |

In India, the Financial Express newspaper reports the Prime Minister is set to dedicate Indian Oil Corp’s second-generation ethanol plant in Panipat to the Indian people on Wednesday in celebration of World Biofuel Day. The rice straw-based facility is expected to produce 30 million liters of ethanol per year while providing a reliable market for rice straw rather than farmers burning it which then leads to significant air pollution problems, especially in the New Delhi region.
