U.S., Japanese business councils agree to cooperate on sustainable aviation fuel

In Washington D.C., U.S and Japanese firms agree to cooperate in clean energy technologies and infrastructure, including SAF.

Members of the U.S.-Japan Business Council and the Japan-U.S. Business Council recently held the 59th Annual U.S.-Japan Business Conference on October 11-12 in Washington, D.C. 

The two councils jointly represent 135 companies from both the United States and Japan, with sectors ranging from digital economy and financial services, to healthcare innovation and energy and infrastructure, and to travel, tourism, and transportation.

In the energy sector, apart from SAF cooperation, the councils also reached an agreement to strengthen cooperation in LNG, hydrogen, Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS) and nuclear.
