The Digest’s 2022 Multi-Slide ABLC Guide to Amyris

By engineering the genetics of yeast strains and fermenting them in sugarcane syrup, Amyris pioneered the ability to convert basic plant sugars to hydrocarbon molecules. To date, the company has successfully created and commercialized 13 sustainable ingredients that are used by hundreds of millions of people, in products made by more than 3,000 top global brands. In 2020, Amyris manufactured and sold more bio-based sustainable products from fermentation than all of the companies in the sector.

At ABLC Next 2022, Amyris COO Eduardo Alvarez returned to the ABLC stage for a presentation on Amyris’s progress and projects, including their new expanded fermentation capacity in Brazil.
