Engineers India secures MRPL order for SAF plant

In India, local newspaper Business Standard reported that Engineers India recently secured an order from Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals (MRPL) to carry out preparation works for a SAF plant.

The firm has been selected by MRPL for preparation of basic engineering design package (BDEP), detailed feasibility report (DFR) and pre-project activities for the SAF facility.

The SAF plant will use non edible oils and used cooking oil as feedstock, according to the report. 

“SAF would not only contribute to India’s Net zero Carbon emission target, but also help in fulfilling the Prime Minister’s vision of reducing crude oil and indirectly providing livelihood to farmers,” Engineers India said.
