India accredits Sistema.bio’s mini biodigesters under the National Biogas Program

In India, the Press Trust of India reports the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s New Biogas Projects Experts Appraisal Committee has accredited Sistema.bio’s small-scale biodigesters under the National Biogas Program in an effort to quickly scale up anaerobic digestion for farmers to producer gas for cooking and organic fertilizer production. The company already has installed 30,000 units in India and plans to install another 40,000 over the next year. The flexi biogas plants can produce 1 to 25 cubic meters of gas per day.
