Kraton appoints new VP of Global Operations for its pine chemicals business

In Texas, Kraton Corporation, a producer of specialty polymers and biobased products derived from pine wood pulping co-products, announced that Edgar Baena has been appointed as Vice President of Global Operations for the Pine Chemicals business. Baena will oversee the segment’s global operations strategy and progress toward achieving operational excellence and further improving manufacturing reliability, Kraton said. “I look forward to further advancing Kraton’s operational sustainability and ensuring we have best-in-class safety systems and processes to progress toward our vision of Zero Harm,” Baena said. Kraton’s polymers are used in a wide range of applications, including adhesives, coatings, consumer and personal care products, sealants, and lubricants, and medical, packaging, automotive, paving and roofing products.
