Nacero plant in Penwell set to produce SAF

In Texas, NewsWest9 reported that the Nacero plant in Penwell, Texas is set to start producing sustainable aviation fuel. Nacero CEO Jay McKenna said that the facility aims to convert renewable natural gas and natural gas into lower carbon and sustainable aviation fuel. The facility was initially expected to manufacture gasoline from natural gas. “There really aren’t a lot of alternatives for the aviation sector so if we could be one of those important alternatives to help reduce the overall carbon footprint of that sector while ensuring jobs. We really want to be able to have the strongest impact possible and that was a key driver in looking at the product shift,” he said.
