April 5, 2023 |

In Maine, Construction Equipment Guide reports that the former paper mill in Lincoln is likely to be transformed into a new $100 million biorefinery after the town council approved a 20-year lease with Biofine Developments Northeast. The revamp is set to come online in July 2024, producing ethyl levulinate from low quality woody biomass. Biofine’s proprietary technology has been demonstrated over several years together with the Forest Bioproducts Research Institute at the University of Maine.
