Higher biodiesel imports threatening Ukraine’s rapeseed producers

In the Ukraine, APK Inform reports that rapeseed prices are on the verge of collapsing in the face of a large crop that farmers expected to see windfalls from. Biodiesel imports together with lower crude oil prices are weighing heavily on rapeseed prices, a crop farmers thought would be a sure bet due to the ongoing fighting in the country with Russia. This season, the country is expected to produce 3.7 million metric tons of rapeseed.
