Gevo says South Dakota project won’t fly without carbon pipeline

In South Dakota, the Dakota Free Press reports that Gevo has said that if the proposed Summit Carbon Solutions pipeline doesn’t get built, then it will have to site its proposed Lake Preston elsewhere. A company spokesperson told the Brown County Commission this week that without the pipeline, the facility would be at an economic disadvantage compared to other potential sites the company is exploring for the project. Three other potential sites were mentioned to the county commissioners, but it apparently hasn’t been communicated very much in other circles that without the pipeline, the project is dead.
