Shell begins retailing renewable diesel at 75 Los Angeles stations

In California, Reuters reports that Shell has begun selling renewable diesel at 75 of its retail stations in Los Angeles, following behind Chevron and Phillips 66 who have been retailing the fuel in the area for several years. The push in the area follows last year’s deal with Penske Truck Leasing to whom it supplies renewable diesel for its 32 California sites with fuel islands. The company offers 95% renewable diesel blended with 5% biodiesel and a 99% renewable diesel blend, although both end up being 99% renewable diesel.
