Zilor’s ethanol gets certification to be used in SAF production

In Brazil, Nova Cana reported that local company Zilor announced that it has received certification for its ethanol to be used in low-carbon biofuels for aviation.

The report noted that only four plants in the world are recognized for producing clean ethanol from sugar cane. Among them, two are from Zilor: the Macatuba and Lençóis Paulista units.

“In addition to placing the Brazilian agroindustry at the global leadership in the production of clean aviation fuel and bringing countless benefits to the environment, it is proof that we can always fly higher when it comes to the best agricultural practices and innovations in sustainability,” the firm said.
