UK’s largest green hydrogen facility get nod from local authorities

In the UK, H2 View reports that EET Hydrogen’s proposed hydrogen production facility in Cheshire has been greenlighted by the local council authorities. The two plants that make up the facility, HPP1 and HPP2, are targeted to produce 4,000MW+ by 2030. During the first stage, HPP1 is set to produce 350MW as soon as 2027 while HPP2 will produce around 1,000MW. The hydrogen will be used locally for low-carbon refining operations, glass and chemicals manufacturing.
