Northdale Oil studying feasibility of biodiesel plant near Grand Forks

March 27, 2024 |

In North Dakota, the Mitchell Republic newspaper reports that Northdale Oil is considering building a biodiesel plant in Grand Forks, near the company’s bulk fuel plant, that would source soybean or canola oil from local processors. The North Dakota Agricultural Products Utilization Council recently awarded the company a $50,000 grant to undertake the feasibility study for a facility that would produce 1.2 million gallons of fuel annually, and potentially expand up to 5 million gallons. Construction could already start later this fall if the feasibility study finds a compelling business case.
