Shree Renuka looking to boost ethanol production by nearly 25%

In India, India Infoline News Services reports that Shree Renuka is planning to boost its ethanol production capacity by 250,000 liters per day, bringing production to just short of 1 million liters per day. Currently its ethanol production is running at 80% operating capacity, depending on the volume of feedstock available. The expanded production could be online in October 2022, in time for the start of next year’s crush. The Indian government is encouraging sugar millers to boost ethanol production capacity in order to hit the 10% and upcoming 20% ethanol blending mandate.
